How Admission Works

Our process is clear, supportive, and child-centered. Placement is never based on a single test score, and admission is not a high-pressure entrance exam.

  1. Enquiry
Contact us to ask about the school, available grades, the program, tuition, or the admissions process. An enquiry is not yet an application and does not reserve a place.
  2. School Visit & Admissions Conversation
Visit JBS and meet our Admissions Team. We will talk about the academic program, English and Georgian language learning, the daily schedule, wellbeing and sport, the JBS 5Rs, and what you are looking for in a school. You will also have the chance to talk through tuition fees, available discounts, and payment terms.
  3. Application
Complete the Application for Admission with information about your child’s background, languages, strengths, and any learning, health, or support needs. Honest information helps us place your child well and prepare the right support.
  4. Documents & School Records
    Submit the following:
  • Child’s birth certificate
  • Copies of parents’ ID cards
  • Factual and legal address
  • ¾ photo
  • Form 100
  • Completed and signed application for Grade 1 enrollment
  • Bank details for the contract

Records in another language should be provided in the original, with a Georgian or English translation when requested.

  1. Admissions Review & Grade Placement
We review your child’s full file, including age, previous schooling, language background, and development. The goal is to place your child where they have the strongest foundation for success.
  2. Child Visit & Age-Appropriate Observation
Your child joins a warm visit with a few school-like activities. We get to know their curiosity, communication, and comfort in a new environment. There is nothing to rehearse. If anything may affect your child’s comfort or participation that day, please let our Admissions Team know in advance.
  3. Family Meeting
We meet to share what we have learned, discuss your priorities, and explain our recommended grade placement. It is a two-way conversation.
  4. Admissions Decision
You receive a written decision: an offer of a place, a place on the waitlist, or a request for additional information.
  5. Enrollment & Fees
Sign the enrollment agreement, confirm the grade placement, and complete the registration payment and remaining forms by the deadline stated in your offer.
  6. New Student Orientation & Start
You receive your start date, daily schedule, and orientation details. During the first weeks, our teachers closely follow your child’s adjustment, and we stay in touch with you throughout the transition.
